The average amount of hair all grow for every month is half an inch of hair . Though contribution of genetic factors individual differences is there its not as important as we assume .To speed up hair growth there’s no proven scientific formula . What one sees on social media ‘that they can make their hair longer by 3-4 inches in only a few weeks’ is misleading .Anyone who claims to have their hair grown faster is cause of their hair has thicker texture and grows in higher density. When hair is thicker and denser it looks longer .

Suggestions to treat your hair the proper way and get essential nutrients to increase hair growth:

1.Drinking more water :

The most important to hair health is staying hydrated .  Severe dehydration stops hair’s growth and dry hair tends to break more easily. Drinking enough water can keep hair cells healthy.

Being hydrated is easy: drink enough water every day .Many know this already just a reminder : blow-dry hair less often and at a lower heat setting and avoid hair products containing silicones and sulfates.

2.Getting more Proteins:

Proteins are essential building blocks of hair. Eating enough protein is important to maintaining a high replacement rate of hair. Or else you will begin losing hair faster than it is replaced, making hair loss more noticeable.

Some good  sources of protein are meat, poultry, fish and seafood & if you’re a vegetarian you can add whole-grains, beans, nuts and seeds into your diet to get enough protein.

1. Prepare one of these essential oils: peppermint, tea tree oil , lemon oil

2. Warm up the oil

3. Massage your scalp with oil for 20 minutes

4. Leave the oil in your hair for another 30 minutes

5. Rinse out the oil in the end

Directions of inversion method:

1. Sit on a chair and flip your hair over so your head is positioned under your heart

2. Massage your scalp with your finger tips for 5 minutes

3. Rub the front, back and sides of your scalp in circular motion

4.Moisturize:

 Hairstylist Anthony Dickey says , “The hair is probably the driest thing on the body, and if you are trying to grow it longer, you need to keep it moisturized . If your texture is naturally drier, it is even more essential to keep hair hydrated. Dry hair turns to brittle hair and brittle hair breaks.”

The research about why moisturizing is important for hair is intriguing. If hair is dry and brittle, we can say we have open cuticles. “Your cuticle is your outermost layer of hair; it’s the protective layer of your strand,” says Monarch. When cuticles are open it means they are not sealed down; this allows moisture and nutrients to escape easier. Some are just more prone to this, where as may have open cuticles from chemical treatments like coloring, etc,..

Conditioning agents helps to seal the cuticle down. This helps trap in water and hair’s nutrients and closed cuticle leads to lessened friction between the strands resulting in less breakage. As each hair is needs different needs one should know their hair and take care appropriately . For some a simple conditioner will be enough where as others will need weekly hydrating hair masks and oil treatments.
