Identify the source for hiking stress levels:

The first step in managing stress is to identify where the problem originates. While you may think that your family is the only place to go for advice when it comes to managing stress, this isn’t true. Many adults suffer from stress at some point, and this often begins at home. Whether this stress is from work, family problems, or other sources, identifying the source is important so that you can make necessary changes.

Discover possible solution to decrease stress levels:

Once you have identified the source of your stress, identify possible solutions. In managing stress, knowing what you can do to change things is half the battle. When you are in high school, however, you are not able to make major changes to your schedule. However, you can take small steps towards managing stress. Here are some tips that will help you:

1. Schedule time to relax:

Create a schedule that allows for plenty of time for yourself. Stress can be a major source of interference in your life and having a set schedule will allow you to better manage your time. Find time to relax, stretch, and think about fun and games. If you find yourself stressing out about school, take a fifteen minute breather and look up at the ceiling. You might just find that you are looking up at something else!

2. Be around people who reduce your stress levels:

Consider a school break. School is often a very stressful time, but some students find that being away from home and being around other students helps them deal with their stressors. Take a few days off of work during the summer to enjoy some school time and get away from things that might bother you. This time management technique may even work well if you find that your class schedule is already causing you too much stress.

3. Do things that you love:

Consider a hobby. A hobby is something that you love to do, and it allows you some personal space. Many people find that by being alone and doing something they enjoy, they feel more relaxed. If you are interested in finding ways to manage your stress levels, consider a hobby for a few weeks or months and you might find that you manage to reduce some of your stress.

4. Work smart by delegating it:

Learn how to delegate your tasks. Delegating work is a great way to manage your stress levels. If you need help with work assignment, let your boss know that you would prefer to have someone else take care of it. You will then be able to concentrate on completing the work on time. Of course, you can always hire someone to take care of your assignments when you can’t work on your own. If you like to read, consider taking a course to learn more about time management.
